The Intern
I hate driving yet I want to run my own thing. π¦π»π€π¨πΌβπ¦³
I watch this movie in my early 20s, didnβt feel related much except for a simple storyline about an old man help βa kidβ on her startup company - an easy to digest friday night movie at home.π¬πΏ
Now iβm 30, my Dad retired earlier this year. Heβs staying at home doing nothing and driving around sight seeing and taking care of the garden.
My mom said when i came back, he could be my personal driver and helped me out with some paperworks π
Then this movie flashing back my mind, iβm actually living the life of Anne Hathaway, running her own βcarβ and have the βinternβ.
I feel that this time when i come back home, i will be so lucky to learn a lot from my dad about all of his experiences through life πΌ; maybe i will gain new perspectives for my years ahead π§; or maybe, i will just only have my own chauffeur just like the main character ππ€©π©
Both outcomes give me a sense of peace, love and security. The sense of coming home.
Even when itβs not like a movie i imagine, i know at least, one fact, for sure, I will learn how to do Bonsai and gardening, listening to Bee Gees, curating music and watching National Geography to see the world.
These are some of a few interests of my Dad that i have witnessed my whole childhood, itβs still in my mind till today.
Somehow I love Bonsai and design garden, and somehow Iβm now coming home to fly out the world.
Thank you Dad. π¦π»π«±πΌβπ«²π½π¨πΌβπ¦³
